For our plant in Mexico we are looking for a

Technical Manager (m/f/D) Toolmanagement

 
The Technical Manager will be part of the management with optimizations in the Toolroom shop, the tool management and work together internationally with the plastic plants of SCHERDEL.

Essential functions:

  • Leading the Toolshop Leader, Tool Development, Process Development and Design Engineering
  • Responsible for monitoring of new projects with the focus on the technical progress
  • In charge of developing training and improvement concepts
  • Develop international tooling procurement relationships
  • Maintaining close contact with the Operations Manager to improve current processes
  • Set up activities to reduce the unproductive activities and increase the efficiency of processes in alignment with the Operations Manager
  • Optimization of set-up times with the tool of SMED workshops
  • Support in the approval of tools and equipment from suppliers, both in Mexico and internationally
  • Active collaboration in the implementation and improvement of the existing standardization for injection molding machines and molds

Function Requirements.

  • BSME or equivalent required, major in plastics of Production systems preferred
  • Several years of experience in injection molding production combined with excellent process knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of lean - management, plant planning and SMED
  • Experience with plastics production in Mexico. Experience in production planning
  • Good knowledge of Spanish and English, knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Independent and self-reliant way of working
  • Good knowledge in product development / project management
  • Good knowledge of MS Office package as well as experience with MES / BDE - systems
  • Willingness to travel to attend external prototyping, nationally and internationally
  • Willingness for continuous personal development
